  2003-2004 Post-doctoral Research Fellow (Humboldt Fellow), Hahn-Meitner Institut, Berlin, Germany (in the group of E. Frey; now at LMU, Munich, Germany).
  1997-2003 Teaching assistant, Faculty of Mathematics and Physics, University of Ljubljana.
  1997-2001 PhD in Physics, specialisation Condensed Matter Physics, Faculty of Mathematics and Physics, University of Ljubljana. PhD thesis: "Effect of the confining substrates on nematic order-fluctuations in liquid crystals", Advisor: S. žumer.
  1992-1997 MSc in Physics, Faculty of Mathematics and Physics, University of Ljubljana. Msc thesis: "Fluctuations in a thin layer of nematic liquid crystal", Advisor: S. žumer.

  2003-2004 Humboldt fellowship. A 2 year research fellowship from the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation, Bonn, Germany.
  1997 University of Ljubljana "Faculty Preseren's Award" for the outstanding Diploma work (Master thesis).
