Research interest
My research interest is primarily
in biophysics, in particular in the physics of biomolecular motor dynein.
I study the mechanoelastic properties of this molecule and relate them
to the ATP hydrolysis to describe the kinetics of its processive stepping.
I am also interested in a variety of topics in soft matter physics, such
as colloids, liquid crystals, and active materials.
My theoretical work relies on computer or analytic modelling based mainly on
phenomenological approaches and/or Monte Carlo simulations.
